In case of emergency

Please don’t panic!

First, call these people for advice & support:

Second, we know you’ll be doing your best - it’s not your fault if she does something stupid.

💥 If she escapes

Cats often don’t go too far and can (hopefully) find their way back.

She’s microchipped, with a collar and tag, so that should give you some peace of mind.

Follow these steps:

  1. First, open the door she left from, go to the kitchen and open the cupboard under the sink where we keep her food.
    1. If she’s within earshot, she’ll hopefully come running. Try a few times
  2. If this doesn’t work, put the knitted blanket from the bedroom outside the door she likely left from.
  3. Leave her food and water bowls on top of the blanket, so she has something to eat if she finds her way back.
  4. Wait for her to come back to that spot, and if you see her, let her in.
  5. Periodically go outside with food in the serving cup, shake it and call her name as well as her favourite word “breakfast”

🚑 Medical emergencies

If she spews up (especially after eating) its probably cos she ate too fast. No need to feed her again.

BUT! If she’s sick and not getting better, acting fast is important. Call the above for advice first.

If you need to go to the vet, a cat carrier can be found on the top shelf in the garage.
