⚠️ Things to know
- Breakfast is Pixel’s favourite word - we say it when we feed her
- Opening the lid of her feeder (next to back door) will send her running towards you
- Indoor only! Pls dont leave any doors open without supervision.
- Pixel sneak outside if you leave doors open, so just keep an eye on the door if you do and grab her/chase her back inside.
- Pixel is allowed to be in the backyard with supervision. Dottie is not allowed out at all!
- Eating some plants/flowers may make her sick - especially lilies
- None of the ones in the house are too dangerous
- The stringy plant above the rangehood is poisonous so leave that up there far away from her
- Need to buy anything for her? Just do it and we’ll reimburse you straight away. We can also order supplies for you
- Please don’t let them scratch the couch, blinds or the coffee table!
Toys
Mouse on stick
In the side pocket of the couch. They both love this.
When you’re done, pls put it away - it’s unlikely but they can choke on one of these toys if left unsupervised.
Pixel’s food puzzle
To set this up, reset all the red cylinders and leaves to the above positions.
Then, put 1 kibble in the top each of the red cylinders.
She’ll then spend a bit of time moving them around and getting the food out.
Pixel’s Kong Wobbler
This is one of her favourites. Unscrew the top and put a small handful of kibble in it, then seal.
Place it on the ground in an open space and watch her go!
Laser
The cat eye device next to the TV is a laser. There’s a button on the bottom to turn it on for 5 minutes, make sure it’s pointed towards the kitchen bench otherwise they might attack the couch. Dottie LOVES this!
Pixel
- Pixel likes a slow pat
- Loves to sit on top of a blanket
- Doesn’t like her tummy being rubbed (even if she’s presenting it)
- Doesn’t LOVE being picked up but will definitely tolerate it
- Very food motivated
- If she has an attitude: don’t take it personally! If she bites you or whacks you, it usually won’t hurt and it’s often because she’s overstimulated
- If she bites, just stop patting her and walk away.
- To tell her off: point at her, look her in the eyes and say “No” firmly
- If she miaows annoyingly at night (rare) it means nothing lol
Dottie
- She loves sleeping on the bed
- She’s a little timid and prefers you to be on her level. She will warm up though!
- She’s obsessed with light and shadows!
- Her favourite toy to bring around the house is the orange crab.
- She doesn’t mind her tummy being rubbed!
- If she bites (rare), just stop patting her and go do something else
😴 Favourite sleeping and hiding spots
If you can’t find Pixel, try opening the kitchen cupboard or use Airtag
- In the boxes at front of the house and top of stairs
- Around the dining table
- In the garage (at night)
- On the stools in kitchen (she might sit next to you if youre having breakfast)
- On the bed
- Under the bed
- Couch
- Under the blue couch in office
