I spent 32 years with Australia Post, and 22 of those years were in the transport section. I was in charge of pool cars, so I drove all sorts of makes and sizes. I’d drive the mail van in the mornings, work with the courier service - all kinds of things.

It gave me good experience with vehicles, which came in handy later in life. They’re always amazed at the pharmacist and in hospital when I can talk on their level about medications and such. Without being a boastful person, I’m pretty brainy. All the doctors and nurses are shocked when they hear I’m 93 and can keep up with their technical talk!
