On imposter syndrome
from mograph slack:
- its pretty common tbh. the one thing to try remember is, actual imposters dont get imposter syndrome. So if youve got that sense of dread, try reshape it into some productive thoughts
- Don't worry about what you can't control.
- Focus on what you do best. your strengths.
- Look for where you can give the client extra value
- Surround yourself with people/talent better than yourself (aka bring in experts to do what you can't).
- Story, Design, Animation - in that order.
- It's just animation, we aren't saving lives.
- Have fun with it.
- Trust yourself. You won the job for a reason
- You're doing well because of YOUR work. No one else's
- You KNOW what you're capable of
- You wouldn't say yes to a job if you didnt know that deep down, you could do it
- And if you couldn't do it, you'd be honest and reach out for help
- Make a list of achievements!
- Make a list of things that bad people you've worked with do that you don't do
- confidence comes from not talking to yourself in mirror but doing the thing and proving your secret inkling you could do it
